REFLECTIONS ON OUR REUNION
For those of you were
unable to attend any of our events, it was truly a fun, nostalgic,
and even contemplative and reflective experience.
I think all of us realize how fortunate we were to attend such an
exceptional school with caring, supportive families in a blessed
part of the world! We turned out to be an exceptional group of
survivors ;-)

Lacy: fabulous food!!!!!
Kay: hours of time sorting, formatting, and producing the
video!!!!!!!
Ray and Margie: giving us the run of their perfect
house and yard (special thanks to THE GOOD LORD for a perfect
fall weather.
Several anonymous classmates who made financial donations
to underwrite the costs above the ticket sales
Beezie Meeker: who donated all the wine from his award
winning vineyard
Martha Lou for the use of her house
Ruthie who keeps the roster updated all year and informs us
of good and bad news, lunches, special events, etc,
All the "Committee" Members who did their part.
Seems like I forgot
someone??? Oh, yeah! Al Capone Gish---50 years of planning
and coordinating ALL the details of not one , but three events in 36
hours for EVERYONE of our reunions--FIFTY YEARS of
service just for winning a popularity vote back in 1959 !!!!!!!
Gish
is truly the duct tape that has held us all together----his only
reward is the self-satisfaction of being so damn good at it that he
is irreplaceable and knowing that ALL OF US ARE GRATEFUL!!
FURTHER CONFIRMATION, ALTHOUGH NOT NEEDED, IS THAT OUR 1960 CLASS
IS RECOGNIZED BY HP ALUMNI AS ONE OF THE CLOSEST KNIT CLASSES
EVER!!!!
It was a great weekend
and thanks to so many who came long distances to reconnect!
Let's all accept our titanium joints, hearing aids, Rx drugs,
"Depends" and Lord knows what all else we need
to keep on truckin' till next time!
