 RICHARD WYLIE SARTAIN was born October 1, 1942 and passed away May 19, 2006. He was born in Dallas to Aaron Q. and Thelma W. Sartain. His father was a professor and Dean of the Business School at Southern Methodist University. His mother was a teacher that specialized in dyslexia. He graduated with a business degree from SMU and he served as a Peace Corp volunteer stationed in Columbia during the late 60s. He was active in the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, The World Affairs Council, many investment groups and a member of Fellowship Dallas church. Dick enjoyed life to the fullest and those that knew and loved him will miss his vibrant energy and passion for life. His unexpected departure will leave great sorrow for all that loved him. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Maria Adiela Sartain and his sons, Lieutenant Michael James Sartain Patrick Aaron Sartain: Sisters Margaret Lewin and Barbara Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. If desired, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity. Funeral Home is Sparkman Crane 10501 Garland Rd.
