Richard Quick, SMU, FIJI (Delta Tau '65)
Richard Quick
graduated HP in '61 and was honored as a
Distinguished Alumnus in 2008. He is as good an
all-around person as could ever be! He is
respected at the highest level by the
International swimming community. He is also a
Distinguished Alumnus of SMU.
Anyone who spent any time with him is feeling a
deep sorrow .that
has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain
tumor. Richard
was an All American swimmer at SMU, went on to
coach 3 Olympic swim teams for the USA. He is the winingest coach in any sport in
the history of the NCAA
and is currently the swim coach at
Auburn
University.
Please keep him in
your thoughts and prayers.

Cover of Book |
Sandy McDonough, Pat Sreenan, Milton Gish,
Allen Myers and Dan Cullum have just released a
82-page booklet titled “Old Remembers.” It is an impressive
compilation of over 3,500 memory ticklers of Dallas and Park
Cities life during the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s, including dining,
drinking, music, entertainment, people, places, things, ads,
slang, etc. Penned under the name, “The Four Old Phartz”, the
book also includes a few tales of contemporaries notable in
sports, business, and music.
It’s a fun, humorous trip down memory lane for old Dallasites,
and a must-read for nostalgia buffs anywhere. |
